KNOWLEDGE

Collect documents without chasing.

One clear list, only relevant questions and review per item: that is how files get complete faster.

The problem with separate e-mails

Requesting documents by e-mail leads to scattered attachments, unclear versions and a lot of chasing. You do not know exactly what has arrived, and your client does not know exactly what is still missing.

Five tips for a complete submission

  • One list per file. Put everything you need in one request list, with a short explanation per item.
  • Only relevant questions. Make questions depend on earlier answers, so an employed applicant gets no self-employed questions.
  • Per person. With two applicants or several parties: let each see only their own items.
  • Save and continue. Let the client continue later, also on a phone.
  • Review per item. Approve, reject with a reason or request again, so the client knows exactly what to do.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Good to know.

How do I stop chasing clients?

Make one clear list with what you need per item, let the client see per item what is still missing and send reminders automatically instead of separate e-mails.

Does my client need an account?

Not at The Dutch Dataroom: the client receives an invitation and signs in with a code by e-mail.

Can I reuse the same list every year?

Yes. With recurring requests the list is ready again periodically, for example for annual accounts or the tax return.
